Business Excellence Awards
The Newman Chamber of Commerce & Industry Business Excellence Awards is recognised as the most prestigious annual event on the Newman calendar. The Business Excellence Awards celebrate the achievement of both business enterprises and individuals in the Shire of East Pilbara.
Local businesses are the focus of the Newman economy and the Newman Business Excellence Awards offer a significant opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and successes. Eligible successful entrants enjoy a significantly raised profile and are honoured for their achievements.
The fundamental purpose and objective of the Newman Business Excellence Awards are to:
- Commend the successes of small business within the community.
- Inspire innovation, economic development, diversity and future planning create ongoing opportunities.
- Further undertaking of business in the Pilbara Region to network with others.
- Celebrate collaborations, partnerships, growth mindset along with promotion of all our small businesses and sponsors.
How to enter
NCCI has taken a new approach to our submission process for the Excellence awards as we want to make it easy and more simplified as possible. We have an online user-friendly platform that is used for nominations and submissions this platform. If you would like to nominate yourself, a business or an employee head to NCCI.awardsplatform.com to register and complete your entry.
Help and Assistance
NCCI want to see your business or employee succeed in our awards and appreciate the time and effort that is put into preparing an exceptional submission, so we have coordinated with RSM and Business Local to facilitate 2x Submission workshops.

Please note these workshops are external to NCCI and we do not record who attends or what materials are used by the facilitator. NCCI only assist in the venue hiring for these workshops, although we have a team of highly experienced business experts, we feel allowing an external party to undertake the workshops will mitigate any doubts misconduct by our judging panel.
